Doraco to carry out further works at Port of Gdansk

On 17th August 2017, representatives of the Management Board of DORACO signed a contract with the Port of Gdansk Authority for further construction works, worth over PLN 40 million. The contract involves the performance of works aimed at reconstruction and modernization of Obrońców Poczty Polskiej Quay and Mew Quay and, as a result, at improvement of navigation in Port of Gdansk.

These actions are part of Port’s multi-stage project to modernize its infrastructure, including deepening of the fairway and rebuilding of the quay in the Inner Port. The total value of the project is over EUR 110 million. EU funds raised under the “Connecting Europe Facility” (CEF) amount to 85% of the financing. The documents were signed in the presence of representatives of the Ministry of Development and the Ministry of Maritime Economy and Inland Navigation.

The investment is to be implemented as one of the tasks under the project “Modernization of the fairway, development of quays and improvement of navigation conditions at the Inner Port in Gdansk” at the total length of approx. 5 kms.

Construction works at Obrońców Poczty Polskiej Quay and Mew Quay are to be completed by the end of 2020.
