On 14 August 2018, DORACO’s Board of Directors signed a contract in the Mikołajki City and Commune Office for the implementation of a new promenade in Mikołajki. The scope of works includes modernization and construction of wharfs with a total length of 1526 meters, as well as infrastructure works, construction of bridges and buildings and shelters with a total cubic capacity of over 2000 m3. The contract worth PLN 40,245,113.50 million gross is to be completed by 30 June 2020.
On 27 July 2018 the DORACO Management Board signed three contracts for further works in the port of Gdańsk.
The first agreement (DORACO as consortium leader with Boskalis International B.V.) concerns
a project for the deepening of the fairway. DORACO will be responsible for reconstruction of the wharfs constituting the casing of the internal fairway – sections of the Low, Szczecin and Vistula Parking Wharf. The project is expected to be completed within 67 weeks. Doraco will also take care of the reconstruction of the Grain Wharf and Wisłoujście Wharf. Each of these investments will take 76 weeks to complete.
“This is one of the last agreements we have concluded as part of the CEF projects. DORACO is
a general contractor with whom we have already cooperated. They have a difficult task ahead of them, because investments with EU funding have very strict schedules, but I believe that the works will start very quickly and will be completed at the same pace,” says Łukasz Greinke, President of the Port of Gdańsk Maritime Authority.
“We are pleased to receive the information that our team will be implementing another project for the Port of Gdansk Authority,” says the President of Doraco Construction Corporation, Andżelika Cieślowska. “We carry out projects for various industries and for various purposes, however, hydrotechnical investments are the most interesting challenge for us. We will make every effort to ensure that the project for the Port of Gdansk Authority is once again successful.”
The execution of the aforementioned investments will amount to over PLN 105 million in total.
