The Doraco Construction Corporation became the general contractor of the office building which is to be raised in the vicinity of the European Solidarity Centre (ECS) in Gdańsk. The building, which is an investment project of the company Eternum, affiliated to RWS Investment Group, according to the schedule is to be put into operation in spring 2019.

Being raised at the junction of Jaracza and Nowomiejska streets, the building will have 8 overground floors and an underground one designed for parking spaces. Its total area will amount to almost 7,000 m2. The building’s ground floor will host service outlets accessible directly from the street, while other floors will serve as office space. The entire construction shall meet requirements for Class A office buildings and will be BREEAM-certified (a standard related to the best practices regarding sustainable design, construction and use of buildings) with the “very good” rating.

The building will be distinguished by its interesting architecture inspired by severe, industrial atmosphere of the former Gdańsk Shipyard. The area where the building is being raised, called the Young City (Młode Miasto), is a new district coming to life in revitalized post-shipyard grounds. In the future it is supposed to be a modern, multifunctional urban space with both residential buildings and office buildings, hotels and restaurants, with an addition of walking areas.
