Korporacja Budowlana DORACO Sp. z o.o. (Doraco Construction Corporation) was the General Contractor of the modernization of the oldest (existing for over 20 years) shopping mall in the Wielkopolska Region – ETC Swarzędz. Construction works started in 2Q 2016 and ended in February 2018. Investors to realize the project as join venture partners were: Capital Park Group and Akron Group.
The investors entrusted DORACO with preparation of a detailed design of shopping mall reconstruction and performance of construction works related to its modernization. The main objective of ETC Swarzędz reconstruction was to connect the three hitherto separate halls and improve traffic inside the building. The centre was adjusted to the needs of disabled persons and families with children. The building’s standard was enhanced, as it received a new facade and modern interiors. Furthermore, the parking lot was extended and it now holds 750 parking spaces. After the reconstruction, the facility area is 20 thousand m2 and it accommodates 80 shops and service outlets.
It is worth mentioning that despite the construction works in progress, the centre operated during the whole modernization process.
